I am very pleased to announce that this year’s 11th overnight WISC Conference is being held in North Wales in The Quay Hotel , Deganwy on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th October 2024. This year we are changing venues, and you can check out details here https://quayhotel.co.uk/ – it is a fantastic hotel and easily accessible from train lines and just 5 minutes from Junction 18 off the A55. This is a great opportunity to network with colleagues in Wales in your sector so I do hope you will join us.
We have a very exciting programme lined up for you. This year the theme of our conference is collegiality, supporting each other and well-being. We are delighted to have Estyn at our Conference who will providing their usual valuable update training. We have an action packed two days and have incorporated more opportunities to network with your school sector.
Given the challenges our sector continues to face, you will be pleased to know that WISC are keeping the costs low, and they remain unchanged since 2021. As in previous years, the Conference delegates’ fees are subsidized by WISC, and we are pleased to offer this two-day event at a fee of £335 for OVERNIGHT delegates. Any ADDITIONAL delegate from your school will attract a fee of £285 for each person, which I hope you agree is very good value for money. DAY delegates will attract a fee of £160 for the two days (£80 for one day).
The Conference Exhibition and Registration will open at 9.00 am with the programme commencing at 10.00am on Thursday 10th October 2024 and finishing on Friday 11th October 2024 at 1.05 pm
Booking forms need to be returned as soon as possible, and by May half term at the very latest to guarantee a place and accommodation at The Quay.
