St David’s College is celebrating success across the board with overall results at A*- A and with A*- C above the national average. It is the individual pupil stories that we celebrate most, with 93% A*- C pass rate in English overall and clusters of A*/A/B/C grades which open the door to pupils to choose exciting 6thForm courses. Very strong individual performances were achieved by Lois Lee, Henry Thompson, James Howie, Libby Emsley, Chloe Hunt and Jade Huntley.
Reflecting on his results, Henry Thomson (16) said, “St David’s has given me a range of options not previously open to me and I am thrilled with the grade 8 in English which is a transformation for me over the last 2 years.”
Headmaster, Andrew Russell said, “I am overjoyed for our students receiving their Level 2 qualifications today and in particular I am humbled by the hard work and dedication that the staff have shown in guiding our students to achieving their goals. Our A*-C passes for all Level 2 qualifications is an incredible 79% and significantly our English department are celebrating their 93% A*- C passes. My congratulations go to all departments many of whom have similar successes to shout about. Of note is local elite athlete Lois who is rejoicing in her 8 A grades and boarder Henry celebrating his 6 A grades.”
