Cardiff Sixth Form College students have gained excellent the best results ever in an examination year* with 94% of students achieving at least three triple A grades, 64% at least three A* grades and a stunning 43% achieving four A* grades or more.

Ten candidates at the top college achieved five straight As. 75.3% of students achieved A grades, 95% A-B and 99.2% A-C grades.

74% of all Cardiff Sixth Form College students applying to a UK university have a place at a Russell Group university, 39% a place at the G5 universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, London School of Economics and Political Science and University College London) and a stunning 81% have places at the QS top 100 universities worldwide. 26% of students also have places to study medicine, one of the most competitive courses for entry.

“We are absolutely thrilled that so many of our students are going onto top universities and have gained places to study some of the UK’s most competitive courses” said Cardiff Sixth Form College Principal, Gareth Collier. “We have all been unsure as to what this year’s results would be and how they will be graded to take into account the pandemic however we are delighted with the excellent grades that our students have achieved.
