We are delighted to share that three Ruthin School students have today received offers to study at the University of Cambridge. Nav (pictured, middle, from Tremeirchion, Denbighshire) has been offered a place to read Medicine, Eric – Computer Science, and John – Natural Sciences.
These offers follow closely on the news that two further students, Eden and Adi, both local students, received offers from the University of Oxford earlier this month.
As a small and nurturing school, we are exceptionally proud to have secured five Oxbridge offers in a single year! As a Welsh school, we are particularly pleased to have supported three local students in achieving their Oxbridge ambitions. These outcomes reflect the students’ academic commitment and resilience, alongside the expertise, guidance and encouragement of their teachers.
Quote from Mrs Frances King, Headteacher
I am incredibly proud of our students and of what they have achieved. They are bright, thoughtful and hard-working young people, but just as importantly, they are kind, courteous and fully engaged in the life of our school. From academic enrichment and Olympiads to mentoring and leadership roles, they embody the values we care about at Ruthin School. It has been a privilege to support them on their journey, and we are absolutely delighted to see them succeed.
